Quit the CCP Movement

Till July  2013, more than 140 million Chinese people have announced to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated Chinese Youth League (CYL) and Chinese Young Pioneers (CYP), with their announcement published on the Quit the CCP Statement Website at the overseas server http://tuidang.epochtimes.com/ (in Chinese).

“Throughout its 80-plus years, everything the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) has touched has been marred with lies, wars, famine, tyranny, massacre and terror. Traditional faiths and principles have been violently destroyed. Original ethical concepts and social structures have been disintegrated by force. Empathy, love and harmony among people have been twisted into struggle and hatred. Veneration and appreciation of the heaven and earth have been replaced by an arrogant desire to “fight with heaven and earth.” The result has been a total collapse of social, moral and ecological systems, and a profound crisis for the Chinese people, and indeed for humanity. All these calamities have been brought about through the deliberate planning, organization, and control of the CCP.” (- Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party)

Today, a massive wave of resignations from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations is happening across China.

Triggered by the publication of “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party” in the year 2004 by the overseas largest Chinese-language media The Epochtimes, the Quit the CCP movement has been joined by Chinese people at a rate about 50,000 to 70,000 per day.

For the first time, the Nine Commentaries revealed a historical account of the CCP’s formation, its advocacy of violence and deception, its destruction of traditional beliefs and the disaster it has brought upon the Chinese people.

People can post their announcements by either get around the filter of the Great Firewall, or ask helps from the volunteers working at the Global Service Center for Quitting the CCP which is an overseas human rights organization.

The Nine Commentaries articles was honored with a top award by the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) in the category “Asian American Issues – Online” in August 2005.

The words Nine Commentaries has become the Internet’s #1 phrase which was censored by the CCP.
