Posted by Author on January 1, 2007

The China Scope, 1/01/2007-

Taiwan Central News Agency reported the dismissal of Huang Tianliang, the Chief Editor of Bai Xing Magazine on January 1. It said that Huang had a interview with Ming Bao, a Hong Kong based newspaper and attributed the dismissal to his consistent exposing the hidden social issues which has disconcerted certain people.

In 2006, Bai Xing reported the violent residential relocation incident in Jiang Ying City, Jiangsu Province and large scale student protest in one of the community colleges in Jiangxi Province.

Bai Xing was ordered to shut down its online website four times in the past two years. Their server had to be moved from Fujiang Province to Guandong Province.

Bai Xing magazine is a monthly magazine with distribution volume at 50,000.
